Focus and scope
The Revista Saber Including (RSI) was created in 2023, being a periodical with continuous publication, publishing scientific articles on various topics in Special Education. It seeks to encourage publications in the field of studies in Education, highlighting Special Education and the inclusion of people with disabilities as a necessary and inherent aspect of human diversity and the differences present in society. Furthermore, it focuses on the school and non-school space, being the first member of the ideal of the struggle for the valorization of the plurality of those who compose it and related to the constitutive aspects of the teaching and learning processes, in addition to the contributions of this space and others to reflections and propositions on human development in related areas. The scope aims to present and disseminate studies arising from research on: special education, bilingual education for the deaf, public policies for people with disabilities, inclusive educational cultures and practices for people with disabilities, special education and bilingual education for the deaf as modalities and their interfaces, as well as reflections and tensions on current themes proposing a critical analysis of Special Education from an inclusive perspective and dialogues with other areas such as Bilingual Education for the Deaf.

Submission Policy
RSI, a magazine of the Federal University of Western Pará (Ufopa), publishes, in annual editions with continuous publication, unpublished academic works, written in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Articles, essays, reviews and interviews are accepted, which must follow the standards adopted by the magazine. The authors are responsible for sending the revised texts.

The journal only publishes articles by authors with a minimum stricto sensu postgraduate degree. Authors with a degree or a lato sensu postgraduate degree (Specialization) can publish jointly with authors who have the minimum required degree. Undergraduate and postgraduate students (Specialization, Master's or Doctorate), in progress, may publish jointly with their advisors, as long as the advisor has the minimum required degree.

RSI does not have a publication or editing fee (articles processing charges – APC). It meets the demand for continuous flow, and there may be special issues organized in the form of Thematic Dossiers, based on a selection of works presented and/or awarded at scientific events in the area or even selected through a specific notice.

The online magazine is open to the entire scientific community, with access through the Periodicals Portal of the Federal University of Western Pará (Ufopa). To ensure a greater number of authors in the journal, each author and/or co-author may only publish one article per year.

Collaborations forwarded to RSI can be presented as: theoretical study articles, empirical research, literature reviews, essays, experience reports, technical articles, testimonials, interviews and reviews. The magazine may eventually accept other types of contributions that are not directly linked to these sections.

Peer Review Process
Saber Including Magazine carries out a blind evaluation by two reviewers. The identity of the reviewers remains anonymous to the authors. Submitted works will be assessed according to the following process:

1 - The material received undergoes an initial evaluation by the Editorial Committee to verify compliance with the standards and editorial line.

2 - If the above requirements are not met, the material is returned to the author to, if desired, reformulate it for new submission.

3 - If approved at this initial stage, it is then forwarded to two reviewers for a blind evaluation. The author's anonymity is maintained for sending to reviewers. If there is no consensus, the Editorial Committee will make the final decision.

4 - The opinion is communicated to the author, with the following alternatives:

- approved for publication in the magazine;

- approved after necessary adjustments;

- not approved for publication in the magazine;

The approval or rejection of each article depends on the availability and agility of the Editorial Board and ad hoc reviewers.

The evaluation process can last up to 6 months.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Saber Including Magazine is committed to guaranteeing the ethics and quality of the articles published.

All parties involved in the publication – authors, editors and reviewers – are expected to behave ethically in accordance with the values of the scientific field.

In particular,

From the authors: authors must present an objective discussion of the significance of the research work, as well as sufficient details and references to allow replication of the studies. Fraudulent or inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. Reviews must also be objective, comprehensive and accurately take into account the state of the art. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, and that citations to the work of other peers are appropriately presented. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Likewise, submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time also constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit articles that describe substantially the same research to more than one journal. The author responsible for submission must ensure that there is complete acceptance by all co-authors of the final version of the article and its submission for publication.

Editors: Editors must evaluate manuscripts exclusively based on their academic merit. An editor should not use unpublished information in its own research without the express consent of the author. Editors must take reasonable and responsive action in the event of complaints regarding a submitted manuscript or published article.

Reviewers: each manuscript received for evaluation must be treated as a confidential document. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and cannot be used to obtain personal advantage. Assessments must be conducted objectively, and observations must be clearly formulated with arguments that support them, so that authors can use them to improve their articles. If a selected reviewer feels unqualified to carry out the evaluation or knows that he or she will not be able to carry it out, he or she must promptly inform the editor. Evaluators should not agree to analyze manuscripts with which they have any conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships..
